My name is Raheema I am a Integrative counsellor and a registered member with the British Association For Counselling And Psychotherapy. I provide safe and confidential counselling services in Warrington, Lymm and the surrounding areas offering face to face session, video sessions and telephone sessions. I work with Adults and have professional and personal experience with Domestic Abuse, Bereavement, PTSD and other common mental health struggles such as Depression and Anxiety.

Life can be hard at times and we can all have moments when we feel hopeless and it all just feels too much in those times of distress or worry, a confidential safe space to be heard and listened to without judgement can be a helpful starting point. I understand that reaching out for help can feel daunting, I have been there myself many years ago so I truly understand how hard it can be and the mixed feelings we have around it. I am approachable and friendly and will do everything I can to help you feel relaxed and comfortable. I have worked with many clients and I am passionate about what I do, it is really rewarding to see people making progress, feeling happier and back in control of their lives.

Secure Space Counselling is a place to come to be deeply heard and understood without being judged a space where you can explore your feelings and thoughts and really sit with them, my job is to listen to you and hold that space so you can take your time and go at your own pace.

One of the things I loved about my own counselling experience is that I could be my true self and share my deepest feelings and that is what I want for my clients, to feel they can be themselves and to feel comfortable to share their story with me so they can find a new, healthier, happier way forward.

Counselling can change people for the better it can be a huge journey for some and can bring about huge self awareness, it can also help people to understand themselves better and work on any areas for improvement. Counselling can help people to manage and change unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviour, it can help them to heal from trauma and to navigate unsettling times.

What is Integrative Counselling ? 

Integrative Counselling is a flexible approach that brings together different elements from other therapies. I tailor the sessions to suit my clients needs and will bring in different tools and techniques if I feel it will be of benefit too them. This may help them to overcome a certain struggle, such as unhelpful thinking habits and breaking the cycle of depression by using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy tools. Integrative counselling aims to promote healing it helps clients to understand different aspects of themselves including their thoughts, feelings and emotions.

HOW IT WORKS

We will sit in a safe and comfortable room that is private and free from noise or disturbances. My job is to listen to you and offer you a none judgmental space for you to talk and explore in a confidential environment. This is something you do at your own pace and you can discuss as much or as little as you want. There is no pressure from myside and I will follow your lead, we can stop the session at anytime and you are under no obligation to continue the session.

I will be me and you can be you, we can be open and honest with each other which is important for a successful counselling relationship. Counselling can take time and it varies from person to person I will encourage you to explore deeper into yourself and may bring in different tools and techniques to help you find solutions to your own problems. I can not give you advice during the sessions but together we can find a new ,happier ,healthier way for you to move forward in life.

We will do a review often to see how your finding the sessions and should you feel that you would benefit from having a different form of counselling I can signpost you to another counsellor if that is something you wanted to do.
